A Thousand Miles or so
Hello world. Its been a while. As Captain Jack would say, complications arose, ensued, were overcome. Moving on.
I have spent the last three weeks in Oregon and Washington, as far from any form of technology as one could afford. The laptop, desktop and 360 were relegated to gathering dust in my absence. I brought only my DS, to avoid dying of boredom on the Greyhound, and my Wii, for the family to play the hell out of during Christmas.
Speaking of the family, they are doing well. It seems my promotional display of the DS at last year's 4th of July gave almost everyone the bright idea of buying each other one. A whopping octet of them were present at Christmas this year, a number which pleases me greatly. Finally, gaming has gone from 'mainstream' to commonplace; all those years of berating me for my hobby appears to have tipped in my favor.
Anyway, I spent the majority of my vacation hanging out with friends, mostly my sister's fiance Scott. We played lots of games, talked about loads of random stuff, etc. Of all the guys my sister could have picked to marry, I am glad she picked him. I even, gasp, went outside. Inner tubing on Mount Hood. Great fun, especially the part where Terra head butted me in the kidney. Honestly though, it was a blast, and a great way to end my vacation.
As for what is to come, I am taking a laid back term at Neumont. Two classes, which, dear reader, I'm sure you've read about here before: Logic and XML/XSLT. In the practically ubiquitous free time I will have, I will be working. On what I am not sure, but there are a great deal of possibilities for me to sift through and decide on. I'll elaborate on that when it's clear enough to speak of.

Yea it's funny how alot of mainstream gaming products are making its way into the commonplace homes. I talked to my parents about the Wii and they're already onboard to getting one and a ton of Wiimotes. They love the idea of playing going to play tennis in their own home. My sisters are supposed to get DS lites too. My parents like some of the education games for it like the IQ game.
